We awoke this morning to a dusting of snow and yet another great surprise of a new blog from the twins. As we looked out the window we were amazed at the beautiful landscape and assorted coloful leaves in hues of gold, yellow, crimson red, bright oranges all removed from my blowing and bagging them up from my mower which I spread around the bases of the evergreens. How am I doing so far? It is great to finally hear from you and get to read about your adventures and of course you know who is writing this. DaD! Same old Goofy guy! I am counting the hours, no not days until I get to hug you both and could not be more proud of you and how this semister has blessed you. I love you and cannot wait. Mom says her turn now but I just want to say I saw the Afri-can guitars on the internet last evening and read in detail how they are becoming a very prized instrument and collectable. My heart melted as I looked at the photo of the beautiful little girl dressed in pink. Do you think maybe you can bring one home for us? It brought back memories of my little girls playing dress up and how beautiful you were and still are. I love you. Look for the TERPS! TERPS! TERPS when you arrive in San Diego. Dad wishes he had paid a little more attention to the Afri-cans when we were talking about them before you left instead of laughing about them. He lost the perfect opportunity to have an original from Africa. Oh well. Perhaps we will all have to return to South Africa for such a purchase. In fact if nothing else your journals have caused a desire to travel to places I never before wanted to experience, like Cambodia, China and Japan. And believe it or not as we read these journals from your real final port of any length of time I felt a sadness overcome me that this experience really was coming to a close. I would imagine you might have some of the same feelings although I know you are tired of life at sea, for a while. I feel that your itinerary was one of the best enabling you to experience the peaceful and enriching countries of China and Japan last. One final comment about your pictures which are all great as usual, the picture of the red leaves lining the drainage curb is especially stunning in its simplicity. I could see this photo entered in a contest or on the cover of a book. I love you and count the slowly moving minutes until we see you again. Love Mom and Dad P.S. "B" wants her picture posted one time before this venture is over. She insists upon on egual air time since the polar bears had their few seconds of glory.
I love it! I was hoping to see some photos and this is perfect. I can't wait to have a few days off over Christmas to look through here. What a wonderful way to showcase your travels. I can see why your Nana was so proud of you!
The couple does look a lot like Mom and Dad! Precious. How lucky are they?!
Are you going to add a slide show? I'll be watching!
