OUCH!!!

We knew this day would come back on October 8, 2004 when we applied for Semester at Sea. SHOTS!!! At the University of Maryland, College Park, the Health Center staff at the Travel clinic were absolutely faabulous! Dr. Perry spoke with us about all the precautions and travel tips for each port and what shots we would need. Megan seemed to have missed that part of the discussion though because as we sat outside the immunization room waiting she thought we were only going in to get our typhoid vaccination pills!!! Imagine her surprise when she asked why we had to wait so long for a box of four pills. "We are getting Hep A," Heather said. Of course, we had to go back the next day to get yellow fever. The only advice we can offer from the whole ordeal is... if you are not comfortable with shots in general, sing the alphabet!!!
